After passing through Reflection Cave, you will end up in Shalour City. The gym leader here goes by the name of Korrina and she is the daughter of the Mega Evolution Guru. She will be the person you fight for your third badge in Pokémon X & Y.
Korrina is into roller skating. Really into it. Her entire gym is a roller skate park the likes of which would make any kid who grew up in the 80s and 90s foam at the mouth with glee during their childhood.
The third gym leader is Lt. Surge, an electric Pokemon trainer. In the yellow version his only Pokemon is Raichu. Raichu can be easily defeated by a ground type Pokemon.
Koga's gym is a maze of invisible walls. The floor that appears like dotted lines will always be solid so navigate through the floor where the lines are continued. The gym trainers are peculiar here, using a mix of Ground, Psychic, and Poison-types, despite only the former being used by Koga himself. Pokemon X Y - Third Gym Leader Korrina Guide. Someone must have been watching Brink when they were designing this game. by Joseph Rowe. After passing through Reflection Cave, you will end up in Shalour City. The gym leader here goes by the name of. How do you get through the puzzle in the third gym on Pokemon Yellow? After you beat the other trainers in the gym, there is a puzzle type thing with trash cans. You search through the trash cans. Gym #2: Cyllage City: Location: Cyllage City Gym Leader: Grant Specialty: Rock-type Reward: Cliff Badge, TM 39 Rock Tomb. The next gym is a fair bit later than the first and has you have to find Grant on the nearby cycle track. Once done, you enter the gym which is a rock climb up a cliff. You will encounter multiple trainers on the way.
Suck it, skateboarders.
Know Your Enemy
Bruce Lee, the famous human fighting type, told us to be like water. Forget that noise when you're fighting Korrina. Her fighting types won't go down fast enough if you just shoot water gun at them, you need something stronger.
According to Bulbapedia, mono fighting types are weak toflying, fairy, and psychic. If you picked yourself up a fairy or psychic type on the way over here, you should be set. If you have a Vivillon, s/he should hopefully know draining kiss and psybeam by now, which will carry you through almost every enemy you run across in this gym.
Mono fighting types are resistant to bug, dark, and rock. If you end up using Vivillon, make sure you save the PP on any of your bug based moves. Furthermore, if you managed to get a hold of a dark or rock type, don't use any of its Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB) moves.
Be careful of which of your team members are out on the field as they will likely suffer heavy damage if they are one of the following types that fighting Pokémon are strong against: normal, rock, steel, ice, and dark.
Their moves only deal half damage to the following types: poison, flying, bug, psychic, and fairy.
You have a lot of options for fighting against fighting types. So, for now, ignore Bruce Lee's advice and be like fairy, flying, or psychic, my friend.
Let's Get Ready to Rumble
As previously mentioned, Korrina's gym is like one giant roller skate park. There are ramps for you to jump off and rails for you to grind on. These rails will lead you to various points in the gym.
To get to Korrina, you will have to defeat her four followers: Roller Skater Shun, Roller Skater Rolanda, Roller Skater Dash, and Roller Skater Kate. They are better at roller skating than you so be thankful this is a Pokémon battle.
I don't mean to brag about my neckbeard skills, but my Vivillon shredded through most of these enemies. This means that I didn't get a chance to see all the different moves they have. If you are following a sound strategy, you shouldn't have to worry about this, though. Just spam psybeam and use potions when need be.

Pokemon Yellow First Gym
Gyms are to Pokemon what fortresses are to Mario: a place to test the skills you've picked up on your journey through the overworld with a boss at the end. Spread out across eight cities, there are nine gyms and eight badges to be collected, with the other gym offering a rare Pokemon instead. Your goal is to beat all the gyms so you can move on to the Elite Four, the gang who will face you in the endgame before the final boss. Most gyms have puzzles you'll have to overcome as well; typically, they have to do with the type of Pokemon the gym specializes in and require a bit of brainpower to best. Good luck!
